To Understand the Past
/
Early morning in the spring,
With my queen,
Listening to the birds sing.
Watching them float in the air… beautiful… a…
First time ever-fine feather flying over time.
I’m eating dust today, reading old letters,
Going way back, to appreciate you more.
Discovering the soul… the core of a heart picked apart and explored.
Uncovering the secrets of nature and the power to dream in control.
And a meaningful future shows to the mind.
I invented a PLAY, PAUSE, REWIND machine you wear like a watch.
I took it back to the moment we met and did it all again the same way.
This expedition to the past today… has me lost in the future.
Just look at her. She’s in-love and I am her man in the mud…
In the mud… ankle deep… trying to find a missing ring.
Searching the water, in the sand, and on land at the lake.
Entering into memory with detail every eye-camera picture I take.
I now have enough mud in my hand,
To build a castle,
And live like a king.
